Client Overview

Autism Inspired Academy is a nonprofit K to 12 school serving students with autism and other exceptional abilities. Its mission is to provide specialized, inclusive education and help students build lives of meaning, purpose, and joy.

When AIA turned to Z7 Solutions, the school was entering a period of rapid enrollment growth and needed an IT and security foundation that could scale with that mission.

Human‑Led. AI‑Powered.
IT & Security for a Fast‑Growing Autism Academy

The Challenge

When Autism Inspired Academy partnered with Z7 Solutions in 2022, the school was working with a prior managed services provider that could not keep pace with its growth. Systems were inconsistent, support was reactive, and leadership had limited visibility into IT performance and risk.

At the time, AIA served roughly 40 students on a modest technology footprint. Within two years, enrollment surged to more than 120 students, roughly three times growth. This put significant pressure on:

AIA needed an IT partner that could deliver enterprise grade reliability, security, and strategic guidance, without building a full internal IT and security department.

Z7 Solution

Z7 transitioned AIA from a reactive MSP model to a fully managed, human led, AI powered IT and cybersecurity framework designed for K to 12 growth and compliance.

Key Initiatives:

24/7 capable Help Desk and infrastructure support for cloud and on premises systems, including student and staff devices.

Unified Google for Education and Microsoft 365 and Azure into a coherent environment so staff and students can collaborate securely across platforms.

Implemented single sign on to Google Cloud using Microsoft credentials, reducing password sprawl and tightening access control.

Ongoing technology and cybersecurity strategy support to align IT investments with enrollment growth, risk, and budget.

Standardized Chromebook and endpoint management with remote monitoring, patch automation, and policy enforcement.

Z7 human led SOC powered by AIXDR continuously monitors cloud, identity, email, and endpoints for threats.

  • SentinelOne for modern endpoint protection
  • AI powered email security to block phishing and malicious links
  • AI driven cyber awareness training to strengthen the human layer of defense

Controls and processes aligned with HIPAA and Florida Information Protection Act requirements to support compliance readiness.

Results and Impact

Three times student growth supported

IT and security scaled from roughly 40 to more than 120 students in under two years, without major re architecture or outages.

Higher reliability and less friction

SLA backed managed services and single sign on reduced login issues, downtime, and unplanned disruptions in classrooms.

Quantified time savings

Modeled savings of about 225 staff hours per school year from fewer login problems and smoother access. At a conservative 40 dollars per hour, that is about 9,000 dollars per year in reclaimed staff value.

Stronger security posture

IT and security scaled from roughly 40 to more than 120 students in under two years, without major re architecture or outages.

Compliance readiness

HIPAA and FIPA aligned safeguards, documentation, and incident response workflows increased confidence in protecting sensitive student and family data.

Leadership empowerment

AIA executive leadership now receives proactive vCTO and vCISO guidance, turning IT into a strategic lever for growth instead of a recurring problem.
