What personal information we collect, how we use and share it, your privacy rights (including California CCPA/CPRA and GDPR), our SMS program, and how to reach us. Client data we process under a paid engagement is governed by the SOW Terms and DPA. This summary is for convenience and is not part of the policy.
Z7 Solutions LLC ("Z7 Solutions", "we", "us", or "our") is a Florida limited liability company that respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website at z7solutions.com (the "Site"), interact with us, or use any related services, applications, or communications channels (collectively, the "Services").
This Privacy Policy applies to personal information we collect through the Site and through our general business interactions, such as inquiries, demonstrations, marketing, and account communications. It does not govern personal information that Z7 Solutions processes on behalf of a client under a paid engagement; that processing is addressed in Section 18 (Business Services and Engagement Data).
Please read this policy carefully. If you do not agree with it, please do not access or use the Site or the Services. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as described in Section 20 (Changes to This Policy). Your continued use of the Site or the Services after we post changes means you accept the updated policy.
We collect the categories of personal information described below. We collect only the information we reasonably need for the purposes set out in this policy. The specific information we hold about you depends on how you interact with us.
We do not seek to collect sensitive personal information through the Site, and we ask that you not submit information such as government identifiers, financial account numbers, health information, or precise geolocation through our public forms unless we specifically request it for a defined purpose.
We collect personal information in the following ways:
We use the personal information we collect for the following purposes:
Where the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or the United Kingdom GDPR applies to our processing of your personal information, we rely on the following legal bases:
If you would like more information about the legal basis on which we process particular personal information, please contact us using the details in Section 21.
We do not use your personal information to make decisions based solely on automated processing, including profiling, that produce legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affect you. If we introduce any such processing in the future, we will update this policy and provide the information and rights required by applicable law.
We use cookies, web beacons, tracking pixels, and similar technologies on the Site to help operate the Site, remember your preferences, improve your experience, and understand how the Site is used. Cookies are small files placed on your device. Your personal information is not collected simply by the presence of these technologies; rather, they record information about your interaction with the Site.
We use both session cookies, which expire when you close your browser, and persistent cookies, which remain until they expire or you delete them. The categories we use generally include strictly necessary cookies that are required for the Site to function, and, where applicable, preference, analytics, and marketing cookies.
Cookie consent banner. Where required by applicable law, we present a cookie consent banner when you first visit the Site so that you can accept or decline non-essential cookies and manage your preferences. Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent. You can also control cookies through your browser settings; most browsers accept cookies by default, and you can usually decline or remove them, although doing so may affect the functionality of the Site.
Analytics. We use third-party analytics providers, which may include Google Analytics, to understand and report on how visitors use the Site and how the Site performs. These providers may set their own cookies and use their own tracking technologies, and they process information under their own privacy policies. We use analytics data to improve the Site and the Services.
Advertising. We may work with third-party advertising and marketing partners that use cookies and similar technologies to deliver and measure advertising, including advertising tailored to your interests. Where these technologies are used, you may be able to exercise choices through your browser settings, through device controls, and through industry opt-out tools such as those offered by the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) and the Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA). For information about your rights to opt out of "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law, see Section 11.
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share personal information only as described in this section:
Meaning of "sell" and "share" under California law. The California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (collectively, the "CCPA"), defines "sell" broadly to include disclosing personal information to a third party for monetary or other valuable consideration, and defines "share" to include disclosing personal information to a third party for cross-context behavioral advertising. Z7 Solutions does not sell personal information for money. Some uses of cookies and similar advertising technologies described in Section 8 could be considered a "sale" or "share" under these broad definitions. Where that is the case, you may exercise the right to opt out as described in Section 11, and we honor opt-out preference signals such as the Global Privacy Control as described in Section 12.
Mobile information. We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties or affiliates for those purposes. Mobile information is used only by Z7 Solutions to communicate with you about your inquiries, the programs you subscribe to, and your account, and is shared only with service providers that help us deliver those messages on our behalf.
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, including to provide the Services, maintain our records, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. The retention period for a given category of information depends on factors such as the nature of the information, the purpose for which it was collected, and applicable legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. When personal information is no longer needed, we securely delete, anonymize, or aggregate it.
We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These safeguards are calibrated to the nature of the information and the risks involved.
No method of transmission over the Internet and no method of electronic storage is fully secure. As a result, while we work to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security, and you provide information to us at your own risk. If you have reason to believe that your interaction with us is no longer secure, please contact us using the details in Section 21.
Depending on where you live and the law that applies to you, you may have some or all of the rights described below. We will respond to verified requests within the timeframe required by applicable law and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
If you are a California resident, you may have the right to:
How to submit a request. You may submit a request by contacting us at [email protected] or by writing to us at the mailing address in Section 21. To opt out of any sale or sharing, you may also use the opt-out mechanisms and preference signals described in Sections 8 and 13 and the Global Privacy Control described in Section 14.
Verification. To protect your privacy, we will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before responding to a request to know, delete, or correct. Verification may include matching information you provide with information we hold. We will not fulfill a request to know specific pieces of personal information unless we can verify your identity to the standard required by law.
Authorized agents. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We may require the agent to provide proof that you authorized the agent to act for you, and we may require you to verify your own identity directly with us.
Where the GDPR or the UK GDPR applies, you may have the right to:
To exercise these rights, contact us using the details in Section 21. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
Email marketing. Where you have opted in or where otherwise permitted by law, we may send you newsletters, marketing communications, and promotional materials. You can opt out at any time by using the "unsubscribe" link in our emails or by contacting us using the details in Section 21. Even if you opt out of marketing email, we may still send you non-marketing messages, such as service notices, security alerts, and messages about your account or inquiries.
SMS and text messaging program. Z7 Solutions LLC offers SMS and text message subscriptions for cybersecurity threat alerts, cybersecurity news updates, and service notifications. Messages are sent only to subscribers who have provided their mobile phone number and expressly opted in through our website at z7solutions.com/opt-in.
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" setting. Because there is no common industry standard for how to respond to Do Not Track signals, the Site does not currently respond to them. Where required by applicable law, we recognize and honor opt-out preference signals such as the Global Privacy Control (GPC) that are transmitted from your browser or device and that we are able to detect, and we treat a valid signal as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for the browser or device from which it is sent.
The Site and the Services are intended for a business audience and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and, where a higher age threshold applies under applicable law, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16 without any required consent. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that a child has provided us personal information, please contact us using the details in Section 21, and we will take reasonable steps to delete that information.
Z7 Solutions is based in the United States, and we process and store personal information in the United States and in other jurisdictions where we or our service providers operate. If you are located outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States and other jurisdictions whose data protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction. Where required by applicable law, we put in place appropriate safeguards for such transfers. By using the Site or providing information to us, you understand that your information may be processed as described in this policy.
Residents of United States states that have enacted comprehensive consumer privacy laws, including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and others as those laws take effect, may have rights similar to those described in Section 12, such as the right to access, correct, delete, and obtain a copy of personal information, and the right to opt out of targeted advertising or the sale of personal information. You may exercise these rights using the contact details in Section 21, and where a law provides an appeal process, you may appeal a decision we make about your request.
California Shine the Light. California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits California residents to request information about a business's disclosure of personal information to third parties for those third parties' own direct marketing purposes. Z7 Solutions does not share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.
This Privacy Policy governs personal information Z7 Solutions collects through its website and general interactions. Where Z7 Solutions processes personal information on behalf of a client under a paid engagement, that processing is governed by the agreement with that client, including the Z7 Solutions Statement of Work Terms of Business and the Data Processing Addendum, which control over this Privacy Policy for that client personal data. The limitation of liability and other terms of the Statement of Work Terms of Business, and not the website Terms of Use, govern paid services engagements and any pre-engagement assessment, pilot, or scoping interaction.
The Site may contain links to third-party websites, applications, or services that we do not own or control. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we are not responsible for their privacy or security practices. Any information you provide to a third party is governed by that party's own policy. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any third-party site or service before providing personal information.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make changes, we will update the version and date at the top of this policy and post the revised policy on the Site. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Site or the Services after we post changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
